Test placements may be conducted at the project site or at another location.
They are frequently done as a slab on ground at the project site. The
requirements for the test placement should be written so that the same
placing and finishing techniques to be used for the actual project are
demonstrated during the test. Additionally, the same crew should conduct
the test placement and the actual placements.
The supplier of the silica fume will usually be able to provide a technical
expert to assist during the test placement.
