It is an excellent idea to get everyone on the project involved with the
test placement -- engineer, architect, and owner along with the contractor.
Many contractors have used the test placement as an opportunity to try out
different finishes. The owner's representatives can determine the degree of
finish that will be acceptable on the actual project placements.
Don't forget that the test placement is an excellent opportunity to train
the crews that will place and finish the concrete. Be sure that the crew
that conducts the test placement is the crew for the actual placements.
