The two spans in this HPC bridge in Colorado replace four spans in the previous bridge at this site. Using HPC resulted in a superstructure depth of 3 ft (0.9 m) for the 112 ft (34 m) and 97 ft (30 m) spans. This thin superstructure allowed an increase in the clearance under the bridge from 15 to 16.5 ft (4.6 to 5.0 m) without any significant changes in grade.
