This section of the presentation shows the use of silica-fume concrete in the columns of a high-rise office structure. This particular project was a little unusual because the same concrete mixture was used for the full height of the structure. This use of the high-strength was based upon the designer's requirement for a concrete with a high modulus of elasticity to resist wind sway in the building.
