In addition to meeting the basic project requirements for the concrete, you must meet the construction requirements of the contractor who will be placing and finishing the concrete. Coordinate before bidding the concrete to ensure that your bid covers all costs, especially the chemical admixtures that are required for workability.

To maintain about the same "feel" for the concrete, increase the slump by about two inches (50 mm) over what you would use for a concrete without silica fume in the same placement.
